Fire in the skies
The ancient craft of pyrotechniques
The silvery moon melting in the Maltese summer balmy night sky. Fireworks like bursting silver and gold fiery flowers blooming in ferocious frequency on the vigil of the feast of the Assumption. It’s hard to envision anything more hauntingly beautiful.
As the fire lights up the starry nights whilst brave men run across the sun-scorched fields taunting fire to trigger, fire and explode. This is a story of men harnassing stolen fire just like the Promethean myth replayed in a midsummer’s night dream.
